YIN is extremely accurate on sustained, loud, in-tune notes. On breathy vocals, very low volume, or noisy environments it can jitter. Use the smoothing slider (or average over a couple of frames in your head) to see past the noise.
No. The mic stream is processed frame-by-frame and discarded. Nothing is stored, nothing is uploaded.
Yes. Play a single string at a time and watch the cents meter to tune ±1 cent accuracy. Works for any instrument with a sustained tone: guitar, bass, violin, flute, voice, etc.
